In research as in vacuum industry valves are working day and night to enable people to conduct processes in vacuum equipment. There can be a production equipment for DVD´s, solar cells, semicon wafers or coated glass. Or a research equipment for analysing material, thin film creation or testing nanolayer deposition.

Valves are the doors between vacuum and atmosphere. They allow to shift in a sample, a substrat or product inside a chamber or they close or open the acces of the pump to the chamber. Vacuum valves can also be the gate between one and another chamber, often used to avoid atmosphere in the one chamber.
