Bellows Application
The METALLIC FLEX edge welded bellows is a leakproof pipe section, which is made of metal and is flexible. With these wanted properties it flexibilizes a number of parts in industrial vacuum apparatuses and research equipment. It allows movement of the adjacent parts, mainly in direction of the bellows length axis and keeps leakproof even for UHV.
Because of the bellows' low spring rate it eases assembly, eases shifting and compensates easy disalignment. Actuators can be designed small.
